Flowers Are A Girls Best Friend.

Shoes make me squeal, and fancy gadgets make me gasp. Diamonds make my eyes gleam, and handmade anything makes my heart melt. Yet there is still something timeless about receiving flowers – especially at work. When sent with genuine intentions, they scream romance without trying too hard or spending too much money.

I can recall two specific times when I received flowers where it felt like the cure for cancer was just handed to me. One was when me and my dude were walking down the street, and in the middle of our conversation he picked me an unknown flower from a bush.It might have even been a weed. That’s it. So simple, yet so sincere. The second instance was a year or so ago. The guy I was seeing had just landed back home from Texas, and drove straight to my house. He greeted me at the door with a single red rose, and I swear an egg dropped right then and there. I don’t even like roses.

However, the thing about having flowers sent to someone’s work is everyone else gets to see it. Shallow sounding, but definitely something that both men and women think about. The best part is they’ll brighten up what is usually a drab cubicle, and have her thinking fondly of you during overtime. While the gesture won’t guarantee anything, it’s definitely a good look. Not only will you be in her good graces, but her co-workers too.  As long as they’re not “Sorry I fucked up,” flowers you’ll more than likely receive a thank-you call soon after. Furthermore, she’ll be making “OMG guess who just sent me flowers?!” calls to her friends as well. Who wouldn’t be Team YOU after that?

Whether it’s one long stem rose or a bouquet of tulips, it really is the thought that counts. Flowers wither away and die, but a grateful woman will always remember the day you sent them to her work.
