Dear Diary – The Elements Edition

After watching the Earth, Wind, and Fire concert Saturday I almost never want to watch another hip-hop concert ever again. I’m lying of course, but I was seriously thinking about it for a second.

As you already know, EW&F is my absolute favorite band in life. As old as I am, they’re actually before my time so I have my mom to thank for her impeccable taste in old school r&b, funk, and soul. They’ve been in the game for 40 years now, and even though only three of its original members are on tour, the group still possesses that legendary energy and sound they’re known for.

In short: AKLJDFKLAJKLFN ASKLDFJAIOSFJAKSJFAKLJCF SDF!

It’s just hard not to feel good at an EW&F concert especially when everyone else around is up on their feet, smiling, laughing, and dancing off beat with their eyes closed. My only complaints are they didn’t perform Love’s Holiday, and they cut Reason’s short. While my favorite song of all time is September, I can now see why they save Let’s Groove Tonight for last. “Just moooove yourself, and flyyyy like a 747, and loooooose yourself, in the sky amongst the clouds in the heavens …”

Packed house full of good vibes.

Enjoying September in June.

All of the lights.

And after the party is the after party.

I ❤ SF

This pic was actually taken during lunch at Samovar last week, but just had to include it because I live for clear skies in SF. No filter, no nothing.
