::From as far back as I can remember, I lived to write. On September 18, 2012 I moved from San Francisco to New York in hopes that I could write to LIVE. Please join me in my mis/adventures as I digest life in the Big Apple::

I knew I had officially transitioned into living in New York the day it was 32°, and I was ecstatic that I didn’t have to wear a jacket to grab my morning coffee. Now, it’s 16° and while I know it’s colder elsewhere and shouldn’t complain – MUFUCKA IT’S COLD. And unless you’re a 300 pound Tongan rocking shorts and slippers in Alaska (true story btw), you’ll agree. The other night I slept in a pair of leggings, a pair of sweats, a tee, a fleece sweater, a hoody, a snuggie, a fleece blanket, and a big ass comforter. FUCK. Ain’t nobody got time for that. But I digress, there’s nothing a pair of earmuffs or a scarf can’t fix. Besides, the weather is the least of my worries.
I officially moved to New York on September 18th, but since then I’ve been back and forth from SF every month up until Christmas. It’s as if I’m starting over for the second time. While the job hunt has been daunting, I definitely feel better this time around. Although no leads yet, I’ve had more interviews in the past two weeks than I’ve had in the past three months. There’s really nothing else I can do than to just stay positive. Sounds easy enough, but if you know me, then you’ll know I’d probably have better luck finding Carmen San Diego.
BTW, I just got an email with a rejection letter from Sony Pictures *le sigh*.
Anyway February should be interesting lol. While I feel shitty about myself everytime someone spots me for dinner, I am more than grateful to have been so welcomed and accepted by my friends here in the East Coast. I hope that one day soon I will be able to repay them.
I just hope they’ll know that it will never amount to the gratitude I feel for them today.
