I may not care too much for football, but I do care for my team – both of them. A huge reason why I shelled out $105 this past Sunday, was to spend time with some of my favorite people that I don’t get to see too often. Asides from being hungover by 7:30pm, I’d have to say the money spent was well worth it. Here’s a few pics from Sunday’s Niner vs. Cardinals game.
Editors Note: During the game, someone started the wave. As cheesy as it is, I participated. I remember doing it for the very first time in Candlestick when the Giants played, and believe it’s a stadium past time. What I didn’t know until I checked FB Monday morning, was it happened while Calais Campbell was being looked over by doctors on the field after getting injured. The media along with disgruntled fans of losing teams took to social media in a frenzy to point out the classless SF sports fans.
Cheering for an injured athlete is never OK. However, I can honestly say that I was so wasted during this game that I didn’t know what the hell was going on. I had to ask someone behind me if we even won. While I can’t speak for everyone in attendance, I can definitely say that a lot of people there were drunk and confused as to what the hold up was, and most likely ended up doing the wave because 1) it already started, and 2) to kill time.
Regardless, I hope Calais is OK. And for anyone that was actually cheering on his injury, shame on you!
