Unnecessary Roughness.

So a while back I’m walking down the street, and I run into an acquaintance of mine from college. We may or may not have had any classes together, but I do remember having lunch with her a few times on campus. Or something like that. We exchange the typical, “How have you been?” and “How’s [insert mutual friend’s name here]?” Then, for no fucking reason other than I dunno – routine boredom, I told her I’d call her so that we could hang out and catch up soon. Except, I had absolutely no intent of doing so.

I’m sure I’ve done this at least a dozen times in my life, and each time it’s happened I’d scold myself as I would walk away. Not only is that shit annoying when someone does it to me, it’s also unnecessary. The only thing more aggravating than someone NOT doing something when they’re supposed to, is someone volunteering to do something when they don’t need to and STILL not doing it.

WTF? WHO DOES THAT SHIT? More people than should be allowed to actually, and on a bad day I want to slap each and every one of you. Especially, men who go out of their way to make plans they don’t intend on keeping when you’re sitting field club behind the dugout not giving any fucks anyway. Why would you even entertain the idea then? Chill bro, it’s cool.

No one’s mad, or upset, or hurt yada yada yada. It’s just that we’re all adults (at least some of us are). And as adults, we already have all the people we need in our lives for the most part. So if we’re not friends or fucking, it’s necessary for you to know that it’s unnecessary for us to be in each others lives.
