This is so true.

We (myself included) rarely acknowledge our own mistakes.

I keep a mistake journal (think I have mentioned this to you before) and have for some time… but I would get too busy to look at it or simply forget to review it each day.

The result was that I repeated previous mistakes more than I would like to admit.

Now I keep it on my desk so that I cannot miss it.

I am certain that I will continue to make mistakes daily (as we all do)… just hopefully not the same ones.

And that is the goal.

I hate making mistakes.

People are going to make them, but the excuse that we all make them and the subsequent "Who cares?" attitude that goes along with such a selfish mindset/outlook does nothing to help you grow as a person (and usually hurts not only ourselves but others along the way).
